It is with great sadness that we the family of Albert Corde Abakah Mends announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday April 7th 2021 at Scarborough General Hospital. He will be sorely missed by his loving wife June Mends, children Alberteena, Lionnel, Albert jr and Aretha Mends. Son of the late John and Diana Mends. Brother of the late Alberta, Jacob, Kwesi, Sophia and survived by brother Ernest Aining. Grandfather of Eric ,Erica, Elton and Oduro. Uncle of Charles, Afia, Kwasi, Kofi, Nana ya Fasuah, Gaylian, Lilian, Deosi, Deslyn, Devonna, Jeffrey, Melissa, Timothy, Ashley, Kristen and others.
BROTHER in law of Clairmont, James and Terence Victor and Cecile Munroe. Friend of John, Pius, Richard, Eddie, Isaac, Anthony, Kevin, Eric, Kwami, Steve, Theresa, Grace and the late Sam Chitto and others. Visitation (by invitation only) will take place on Friday April 23 from 3-7 pm with funeral service ( by invitation only ) to follow on Saturday April 24th at 11am at Giffen Mack Funeral Chapel, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, Scarborough, ON (one block west of Kingston Rd)
