

Barbara Joan Azzopardi born Feb 20, 1944 a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt passed away peacefully May 30, 2025 at Centenary Hospital after a short battle with cancer. She lived in Westhill with her beloved husband Thomas Azzopardi of 55 years. She was predeceased by her parents Alan and Margaret Tranter, brothers Bobby and John Tranter (Sharon), and children Wendy and Richard. She leaves behind her beloved sister Patricia (Richard May). She will be sorely missed by her son Douglas (Mary) and grandchildren Jesse, Tricia, Selena, and many other loved ones.
Barb will always be remembered for how much she loved her family and friends. She had an open her door policy and many family members have been welcomed from near and far to stay at their home. Barb loved to be in the kitchen cooking and baking for her family and friends. Barb always had the radio playing during the day and loved to go dancing with her husband Tom. Barb enjoyed traveling and has been on several trips but the ones she spoke most fondly about are the ones to Malta. Barb has been known to play a few games of cards with her family and neighbors. The family have many fond memories of times spent at the cottage and trailer in the summers with her.
A celebration of life for Barbara will be held at the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Ave. East West Hill, ON M1E 2S2 on Saturday June 14, 2025, with visiting beginning at 11:00am to 12:00pm, the service starting at 12:00PM and light refreshments following the service.
