Brian Robert Leader passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. He was born and raised in London, England on August 7, 1934, and went on to forge a successful career in banking spanning 46 years during which he worked and lived in London, Nairobi, New York, Toronto, Montreal and Hong Kong, and many other international cities. He was also in the Royal Military Police and an ongoing and active member of the RMPA’s North American Branch. After retiring, he discovered his inner computer geek and spent many hours researching genealogy, with plenty of tea and biscuits, for family members, both close and extended.
Brian’s greatest joy and achievement was his family. His wife, Margaret, his daughter, Janis, his sons, Jeremy (Lydia), Trevor (Shelly) and Mike (Shelley), his grandchildren, Jessica (Jeffrey), Adrian (Audra), Gabriel (Elizabeth), Kathryn (Andrew), Alexander, Ryley, Megan (Jason), Dylan, Claire, and Eric, and his great-grandchildren, Dominic, Genevieve, Benedict, Emmelia and Wyatt meant the world to him, as did his siblings, the late Frederick (Maria), David (Pauline), Geoffrey (Anne) and Mavis (late Peter), and their families. Along with the family he was given are Eric, Penny, Nicholas and Stephanie, the family he chose.
He was deeply loved; he is deeply missed.
A funeral service by invitation only for Brian will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill, ON M1E2S2.
