Robert is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sue; his sons, Ian (Moji) and Simon (Natasha); and his cherished grandchildren, Tristan, Emily, and Matthias. He is also survived by his two brothers Peter and John and their families in the United Kingdom.
Born on November 2, 1949, in Nottingham, England to Winnie and Fred, Robert began his working life as an apprentice painter with John Cawley. He later spent time working in Doha, Qatar, before returning to England and transitioning into a career in chemical processing with Boots the Chemists. Robert married Sue on March 27, 1971, and together they built a life in Gedling, Nottingham, where they raised their two sons.
In July 1987, Robert and his family moved to Canada. He initially returned to painting, working at the Four Seasons, before resuming his career in the chemical industry with Chemtura, where he remained until his retirement in 2014.
Robert had a deep love for travel and enjoyed many trips with Sue, visiting family in the UK and Australia, as well as cruising throughout Europe and the Caribbean. He played golf well into his later years and also enjoyed playing the drums in the basement, alongside his extensive collection of music albums and CDs
