David will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Leslie (née Cullen); son D.J.; mother Shirley (Mike); brothers Chris (Helen) and Andy; as well as many more members of the Downing and Feeney families.
David will be remembered for his hearty laugh, fantastic sense of humour, his beautiful green eyes and heartwarming smile, his wonderful bear hugs and his love for his family.
A celebration of David's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion 345 at 81 Peard Rd. in East York, Ontario, M4B 1T8, on Sunday December 30th, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's memory to Covenant House.
