Denis (well always Mr. Salmon to me)  was my first real soccer coach.  Playing for him along with Greg and Mike are some of my best, clearest memories about growing up in Scarborough.

It fills me with great sadness sending this message, but also with great memoires and forever lasting friendship with the whole Salmon clan. Dennis was my first soccer coach and Mike my oldest friend. Our wishes and prayers go out to the whole family.  Regards Declan, Vicky, Connor and Raphael.

'Mr Salmon' was my hockey coach for many years growing up and he truly inspired me and taught me the values of teamwork and fun.
Gone but never forgotten.  Prayers will always remain with the family.

I worked with Denis at Newmarch 30+ years ago, did work for his own company and he always had a joke or was leading you down the garden path with some story. Denis  always had a minute to chat no matter how busy he was, a great inspiration to all, he will be missed. I'm sure he is watching over his family and friends from the big fountain in the sky.
My condolences to the family, I am sorry I will miss the service but you will be in my throughs.

Denis always seemed "larger than life" to us kids growing up in the neighbourhood! From hockey to helping out friends, he was always there.

We would like to offer our condolences to the Salmon family.  Denis attended the weekday morning Masses at St. Thomas More, and he made many friends there.  We have been praying for him for years, and we now pray for the repose of his soul. I am very sorry to learn about the death of my childhood hero. He was a big man in my world. He was the best hockey coach I had.   I picked up my love for sports because of him.  Today I'm having fun with my own kids at the hockey rinks and soccer fields because of his contagious influence on me.
