Donald Evans Wilson

Peacefully on October 10, 2012 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Rita (Cooke), and the late Longena (Nowasad). Loving father to Warren Wilson (Yoko), Garry Cooke (Sandra), Arnold Cooke (Deanna), Ronald Cooke (Barbara), Brian Cooke (Ginny), Kenneth Cooke (Christine), Catherine Grosz (Les) and Dianne Gilder. Cherished grandfather of 24 and Great Grandfather of 16. He will be dearly missed by brother Fred (Shirley), nieces, extended family and many friends. Don was a licensed lay reader emeritus and longtime faithful member of St. Margaret’s-in-the-Pines Anglican Church. Graduate of Wycliffe College in 2001. He was also a devoted past Chaplain of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 258 Highland Creek as well as a dedicated past County Master of the Metropolitan Toronto Loyal Orange Lodge Association. Special thanks to the caring and compassionate staff of A3 at Toronto East General Hospital.

Friends and family may visit at Giffen-Mack Scarborough Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave. E., West Hill, (416) 281-6800 on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 6-9 pm. Funeral Service to be held on Monday at 11 o’clock in St. Margaret’s-in-the-Pines Anglican Church, 4130 Lawrence Ave. E., West Hill. Interment in the Churchyard Cemetery to follow.
