It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Marcella (Cook) Lacy on August 12, 2023 at the age of 72. Donna died peacefully at Providence Health Centre in Toronto, with her loving family at her side.
Donna was predeceased by her parents Nellie and Hugh Cook. Also predeceased by her brothers Jerry and Edward, and her sisters Madeline and Shirley.
Donna is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth Lacy. She is also survived by her brothers Clifford of Surrey, B.C., Earnest of Brantford, ON, and Randy (Inez) of Corner Brook, NL. Donna is also survived by her sisters Annette (Jerry) Lawless, Scarborough, ON, Joan (William) Sisk of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Marilyn (Jim) DesBarres, Southampton, NS. A special mention is to go to her very good friend, Debbie Forrester, who was a guiding light through this trying time.
Donna will be missed by her numerous nieces and nephews, as well as all those individuals who crossed her path.
Cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. No flowers please. If you wish, please donate to The Toronto Cat Rescue (torontocatrescue.ca), in honour of Donna’s love for Mona, her cat of 18 years.
