We will miss her amazing poetry and gentle laugh, such an amazing beautifull lady.

To the Hickey Family, I was fortunate to meet Betty in '72 when my policing career started at 590 Jarvis. Betty was very down to earth and was always in a great mood. I am very sorry for your loss. I often think of all the switchboard operators and the thankless job they performed day in and day out. Betty was one of the best. A hard worker.

Our deepest sympathy for your loss. Melchior Drive and the "little block" will not be the same without our Aunt Beatty. She influenced and moulded my childhood and was best friend to my mother, Maggie, allowing and supporting her to live in West Hill all these good years. Our gratitude knows no bounds. We cannot be with you today, but our families will always be bound.

Maureen & family... I have so many great memories of your mom from years ago. Still remember that gorgeous shower cake she made when Justin was born. Such a great vivacious woman. Our deepest sympathy

Maureen and Mike, I was so happy to connect again with your wonderful Mom through facebook awhile ago. What a special lady and great neighbours you all were. Seeing Mike's pictures this past week brought back some fond memories. Your Mom was a blessing to me when Doug and I had to sell our Mom's house, she was so kind to me. She is now with her soul mate. Hopefully she'll stop by and say hi to Jean and Lorne! much love to you. Sheryl Fallon xoxo

Thinking of you all in Canada at this time. Be strong in the knowledge that everyone who met mom, nana, GG, aunty or Betty the friend loved and respected her. God bless you Betty. All our love always. DD, Fish and KD xxx

Hi Mo, our condolences to you, Mike and family on the loss of such a great mother, I know it is hard to lose a parent at any time in your life. I loved your mom's direct approach to life and her love of family and traditions. I have often thought, she is who I will be when I'm 80....minus the cooking!
