It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry "Hank" Muurinen, who passed away on December 20, 2024, at Ross Memorial Hospital after a three-month admittance. Hank bravely fought a courageous 15-month battle with cancer, demonstrating strength and resilience until the very end.
Born on February 21, 1963, in Toronto to Kaarina and Heikki Muurinen, Hank was proud of his Finnish heritage. He was a devoted father to Michelle Campagna, Nicole Morency, Loraine Morency, Rene Morency, and the late Ryan Morency (Melissa). He is also remembered fondly by his ex-wife, Loraine Muurinen (née Morency).
Hank was a loving brother to Sue (Mike) Saulnier and Lea Muurinen. He was a lifelong mechanic and a hardworking man who had a passion for rock music, especially Guns N' Roses, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of a cold beer. Known as the life of the party, Hank had a gift for making others laugh and brought joy to everyone he encountered.
Hank was a devoted grandfather to many grandchildren, creating countless cherished memories. His strength, humor, and kind spirit left an indelible mark on the lives he touched.
As we say goodbye to Hank, we take comfort in knowing his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest peacefully, Hank, in Paradise City.
