YOU LIVE IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER!!!!
Our father and grandfather Joseph Lee was born on December 26 1930 in Trinidad. He was the only child of John Lee and Henrietta Andrews. His parents separated and married different people; their separation gave him an extended family of half siblings. He was raised by his maternal grandparents; they instilled in him the value of hard work. As a young boy he developed a strong sense of independence. This quality remained with him throughout his life.
He married our mother and grandmother Luvenia. They raised a large family of nine children and help raised four grandchildren Gary, O’Neil, Amanda and Simone. He dotted on them immensely and the love and admiration was reciprocated. They called him daddy because in their heart they felt like his children. He loved all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was happy to have been around to have the experience of watching his family tree grow.
Our dad was a simple and generous man. He enjoyed the company of family; he especially loved to play cards and have a good time with love ones. He had a work ethic and determination that is unparallel to none. One of his life philosophy was to be on time is to be late. He was always early to all engagements he attended. He did not live his life as a victim especially when life bestowed its challenges at him. He took life by the horn and made a way out of nothing. He faced every challenge and used every opportunity to make a better life for himself and his family. Those qualities help him to have a very successful career to support his family. He worked for the PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SERVICE CORPORTATION; he started form the bottom of the company, however due to his strong work ethic he was promoted to a management position. He led by example of how a strong work ethic can enhance one’s life for the better.
He enjoyed gardening; his believes were, if you have a garden full of a variety of food you will never be hungry. He had a very quiet demeanor; however he did like having a passionate discussion on a variety of topics. Laughter and fun seem to make his spirit sing a joyous song. He loved to fish and had shared those activities with grandsons Gary and O’Neil.
