Sincere condolences on the loss of Diane.  Jean, Pat, Diane and myself used to meet once a month and go out for lunch.  It was always a catch up time of what was going on in our lives and also of memories.  They were fun times and we missed doing that for the past few years.  We go back about 30 years.

Diane was a good mother, who cared very deeply for her children. Her first priority was always their nutritional, medical and educational  well-being and she always kept them well dressed. Those were the halcyon years, when she enjoyed sailing on the St. Lawrence with the children, and of course, all the early years from courtship right up to many years of good times at the cottage with family and friends. For the last twenty-five years we have remained good friends and good business partners. For many years we talked together every week. Just 5 days before she died, she once again thanked me profusely for calling and invited me to the cottage.  I asked her how she felt. She said "I feel fine, I've never felt better!" This is indeed  a very sad day for everyone.            Donald

In Remembrance....of Diane 
Diane, Donald, David and Barbara are forever friends.  We were young teenagers when we started to be companions with one another.  We have had a close relationship with them and the extended Kinsman family for over 65 years.  We double-dated with Diane and Donald when they were courting and before we could drive; they would come and pick us up in Diane’s father’s big Oldsmobile and take us out with them.  She was my Matron of Honour at our wedding.  It is hard for us to realize that she is not going to be around any more.  As Christmas approaches, we will reflect on the loss of Diane and the dear Aunt to our children.  We will remember the good times we have enjoyed.  We have lost a dear sister and will miss her deeply.  Our prayers are that she is with Jesus now and at peace.

My heartfelt condolences to you all, I have many lovely and fond memories of your Mom. I went to Beaconsfield on a solo visit when Stephen and Paul were young and before Jennifer was born. I remember her beautiful singing around the house and taking us all to the library. She made me feel special with her letter writing and always remembering my birthday.
Bruce loved joking with your Mom and we will miss her laughter and beautiful smile. She will be remembered in our hearts forever.

Dear Paul, Samantha and Lucia, 

We are so sad to hear of Diane's passing, your mom Paul was a beautiful lady, I can still hear her laughs, she had a smile that lit up the room, she was full of life, and her love for all of you but especially  her granddaughter Samantha was so visible. Samantha must miss here profoundly.  I can not imagen the loss and heartbreak that her sudden passing must be for all of you.  We found this picture of her and thought this is what Diane was all about, our hearts are sad for you and your loss of your mom.

I only became acquainted with Diane over the past couple of years as I visited with her and daughter-in-law Pam at Diane's home on Pretoria.. sometimes sharing a meal, sometimes a cup of tea and a chat, and sometimes sharing the joy of our puppy Winnie.  Diane was always warmly welcoming, seemed to love the opportunity to visit, and adored Winnie.  As her short term memory was poor, each visit was like a first and she always warmly welcomed me as a new friend and encouraged me to come again.  "You can come any time,"she would say with enthusiasm.  "You are ALWAYS welcome here! "  It was a privilege to journey with her a little here and there in the latter part of her life. Diane and I met at Riverdale Collegiate when they decided to combine the music students; she was choir, I was orchestra.   We attended Victoria College together and then our paths diverged for a while.  Diane married and after teaching for a few years in Toronto, I moved to California.  It would have been so easy to let the friendship slide, but somehow with the advent of email, occasional snail mail (Diane was a really good letter writer), and Diane's yearly visits to California, we managed to maintain a friendship for over 60 years.  

I will really miss my friend of a lifetime.  How special she was.

What a blessing it was to have Diane as my colleague and friend in two workplaces! Her positive outlook and lovely smile brightened every day as she did her work with cheer and dedication. She was rock solid; she was kind and generous. I am grateful for all the time she gave to supporting the team and for all the help she offered when the work was challenging. Thank you Diane ...

A selfie Diane and I recently took...we had a good last time together. She was chatting with her new friend Kay and singing Que Sera Sera...I'm so grateful to have shared this time with Diane.

My condolences on the passing of Aunt Diane. She is the last of Ken, George, Jack and Diane to pass away. I always liked her energy, her laugh, and her commitment to art and culture. After Ken died she went on two trips with my mother Joan. I also know my mother enjoyed visiting Diane, Steve and Pam at the cottage. Diane will be missed and remembered.
