

Diane, 84, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2022 at Michael Garron Hospital in east Toronto. Diane was born on January 30, 1938 in Toronto to Laura Marie Litt and William Henry Kinsman, their youngest child and only daughter.
She graduated from Victoria College, University of Toronto, in 1959 with a Bachelor of Arts. Her ancestors were United Empire Loyalists who founded Vankleek Hill, Ontario. Diane was influenced early on by her great-aunt’s love for Canadian art. In 1975, while living in Montreal, Diane co-founded a quarterly newsletter, The Canadian Art Investors Guide, and she worked at Micromedia and the McGill School of Library Science. With her then husband, Don Robinson, in 1980, they opened Kinsman Robinson Galleries in Toronto, specializing in Contemporary Indigenous and Canadian paintings and sculpture for over 40 years. Diane was passionate about singing and dancing. She frequented the opera, theatre and ballet. Diane cherished her time spent at her cottage overlooking Georgian Bay.
Diane was predeceased by her brothers, Jack (Dorothy), Kenneth (Joan) and George (Eileen) Kinsman. Diane is survived by her three children, Stephen Robinson (Pam), Paul Robinson (Lucia) and Jennifer Brooks (Tony). She is lovingly remembered by her two grandchildren, Thomas Donald Howard and Samantha Kate Grzetic Robinson, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16 from 10 am to 12 pm at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, located at 4115 Lawrence Avenue East, Scarborough, ON. A Funeral Service will be held following, at 12 pm at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Pine Hills Cemetery.
