Louis Willoughby Willenberg

November 18, 1933 – August 21, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Louis Willoughby Willenberg on August 21, 2022. Louis was the son of Philip Willoughby Willenberg and Angel Erin Louise Willenberg, brother of Maurice, Marlene, Ronald, beloved husband of Marjorie, father of Sharon Nicholas and Patrick, father-in-law of Ricardo Nicholas, grandfather of Athena Nicholas-Figliomeni, Gabriella Rita, and Chelsea Nicholas, great grandfather of Avery Figliomeni.

Louis was born in Ceylon, November 18, 1933 and was educated at St. Thomas’s College and Arethusa College. As a young man, Louis joined the Royal Ceylon Air Force and later immigrated to Kuwait to work as an aircraft mechanic for Kuwait Airways. He subsequently immigrated to Canada in the early 1970’s.

Louis was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and spent many years caring for his three grandchildren. He filled his days with what he enjoyed most: spending time with his family, bowling, bingo, and day trips to Casino Rama.

His almost 89 years of life were full of love and adventure.

Funeral Mass, Friday, August 26th @ 11:30AM at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 1148 Finch Ave., Pickering
