EULOGY OF PAUL PARKER ASHUN

Unexpectedly, on Monday July 11, 2011, Paul Parker Ashun was found dead in his apartment. He died of a massive heart attack.

Paul Parker Ashun was popularly called ‘Daddy’ to the immediate family and friends. He was born in Sekondi, Ghana on June 27, 1972. He was called ‘Daddy’ from a very young age, because he was the youngest of the family of seven, and named directly after our late father. Daddy attended Fijai Secondary School in Ghana, and graduated in 1989. He lived in Canada for almost 20 years, and contributed greatly to the economy of Canada by working with various companies.

Daddy loved life. He was respectful and very generous with people.

He always had a nice smile on his face and took great pride in helping the elderly when ever they required help.

His close relatives and friends were always entertained with his practical jokes, and as such he made a lot of friends. No one can replace this part of Daddy’s life.

He will be remembered for his wittiness, and the way he expressed himself eloquently, when explaining his opinions. He was a good listener and analyzed his opinions with the use of excellent English.

His sudden death shocked all of his immediate family and friends. We will always miss you. We are in disbelief and are grieving the loss of you, but we know that you are in a better place.

Daddy leaves behind 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Daddy you have gone to join our parents – Mr. Paul Bessant Ashun and Mrs. Frances Melvina Ashun, and our brother - Charles Parker Ashun.

May your soul rest in peace in God’s kingdom

In loving memory of our dear brother Paul Parker Ashun.
