On Sept. 26th, she lovingly signed the Guest Book
of my beloved "Dave Weekes"...who also left us
much too soon at the age of 62, due to a tragic
accident.
I have only just recently learned of this sad news
and wish to extend my thoughts and prayers
to her immediate and extended family and friends.
I know my Dave, who spoke fondly of Phyllis, is
embracing her now, in the Beautiful Heavens above.
I'm sure they are sharing a laugh or two and treasured
Memories of Barbados!

Please take comfort in knowing that she has touched
many lives in a wonderful way and that,
with God's Grace, she is forever pain-free.

Every member of the family has a unique role to play in the family unit. In every family these roles are different. A role that an aunt may play is that of helping parents getting along with their children, much like grandparent but you aunt Phyllis were often able to see things in a more objective way which helped me chance my out look in life and  you also treated me like a son, you and aunty Mags looked after me and encouraged threw my experience  in Canada. From that I  have become the man i am today and you guys pulled me threw  it we built a great relationship.
 An aunt that is committed to her nephew can play an invaluable part in their lives as Phyllis did in mine

Phyllis my dearest and closest friend, I will miss you so dearly, you were like the sister I never had.  I was always able to share my thoughts with you, both in happy times and in sad.   I am not sure if you realized, but you gave me a lot of strength, you were the brave one!

I was so very lucky and thankful to have spent the time I had with you over these last several weeks in the hospital, we laughed many times and other times we cried; we talked about how sometimes life is just not fair and other times how lucky and blessed we are.   You fought right up until the end, strong and brave as ever, I will cherish all the time we spent together forever.  I will miss you so much, you will always be in my heart and I know that you are now in Heaven with the Angels you love, looking out for all of us.

A golden heart stopped beating. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So, he put his arms around you and whispered come to me.  With tearful eyes we helped ease your transient way. Although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.

It is extremely difficult to carefully choose the right words to convey such painful feelings of hurt and sorrow without falling into anger and regrets. However, I choose to remember our friendship. You left an immense and tremendous emptiness in our lives and our hearts. I lost a friend, a confidente... you were my big sister.

I will always remember our laughter, our time together, our impromptu diners, our walk with Bubbles; the time of comfort for one another during some strenuous walks in our life. How we shared and confide our maternal fears and pride for our boys. Our trip to Barbados and smaller ones we took in and around town. I will remember our tubing vacation in Qc. How you loved my famous sangria, as you called it "the juice" and how you wobbled your way back home... after only one glass!

When someone we love dies, we never quite get over it. We just slowly learn to go on without them. But always keeping them tucked safely in our heart... and Phyllis, you know I have the right place for you.

 My Aunty Phyllis you were always the brave one ,you left your place of comfort many years ago on your own for a better life for your self .You always did what you wanted to do and you were bold in your decissions you have shown me not to be scared to take giant steps and to persue my dreams like you did.
Thank you for the fun times in canada like when we were on the high way coming back from bufflo and we were in traffic and Jordy did a poo in his pamper, and stink up the car ,and you got out to get a clean pamper from the trunk ,and the traffic moved and we drove the car off ,leaving you to run down the highway with a pamper in your hand. We could not stop laughing and our first snow fall  with you, when you got into the car and jan and i hit you with snow balls.
I know you are not having a fun time now and as i write this i am not either but I must tell you I LOVE YOU ALWAYS ,i am still hoping for a miracle in your life for anything is possible ,thanks for the love you have given to me and my family and i so wish to be there with you,i have been quiet on the chat with every one but i have been doing alot of crying inside. words can't explain how i am feeling  but i am thinking of you every day,  love always.Your nephew Sean
