He was born in Wurzburg, Germany on May 3, 1927, to Alfred and Josefa Kaffer (nee Bayer). He joins his wife Klara Shreiber, married on September 1st, 1951, and immigrated to Canada shortly after.
Werner had a long successful career as a skilled machinist, working for Magna International in Scarborough and retired in 1992. In his retirement years, he was known for his love of travel, ballroom dancing and his beloved CUBA.
Werner struggled through difficulties with his health in the past 7 years, due to an unfortunate accident. His resilience and determination and zest for life kept him motivated to improve every day.
He is survived by his daughter, Christine Kaffer-Fisher (Michael), Toronto, Ontario and brothers, Gerhard & Reinhold and sister Irma, all in Grafenrheinfeld, Germany. He will be missed dearly by friends and family.
