Zecus Claughlyn Lee

With great sadness we announce the passing of our father Zecus Claughlyn Lee on Saturday March 8, 2025, in his 85th year at Providence Healthcare. Beloved husband of the late Pearl Albertha Lee. Cherished and devoted father to Mark (June), Hope, Wendy and Antonette (Milton). Loving grandfather to Howard, Richard (Camille), Alexander (Melanie), Cyann, Diego and Jada. Great grandfather to Anaiya, Knight and Xander.

Zecus was born on June 14, 1940, in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica to Agnes Roslyn Midora Lee Ebanks and Wellis Ebanks. Before immigrating to Canada, Zecus was a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. Shortly after his arrival in Canada, he was hired at Kendall Co. and remained with the company through its various iterations until his retirement in 2001.

Zecus was an avid sports fan. He loved cricket, baseball, hockey and old school boxing. He was very sociable, always greeting people warmly and eager to offer visitors a drink. He enjoyed listening to music and amassed an impressive record collection. He will be missed by his family, relatives and his many friends.

Zecus is survived by his four children, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Evet, Ava, Hazett, Donna and Althea and his many cousins and extended family. Predeceased by his parents and brother, Godfrey Ebanks.

Zecus and Pearl are now reunited. May they rest in eternal peace.

A visitation for Zecus will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. A graveside service will occur Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Duffin Meadows Cemetery, 2505 Brock Rd N, Pickering.
