Bradford Putnam Miller, 78, cherished husband, brother, uncle extraordinaire, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026. A long-time resident of Palm Beach, he shared 47 years of life and adventures with his beloved wife, Pam.
Brad was an optimistic, joyful man with an insatiable interest in other people: a caring, loyal friend, always generous with his time and energies. He had a contagious sense of humor and his natural curiosity was reflected in his love of others. Brad and Pam shared many adventures traveling around the world. His genuine joie de vivre was felt by all who knew him.
A man of deep faith and humility, Brad was a mentor to many and a friend to all, who found deep meaning in helping others. As a long-time member of Bethesda-by-the-Sea, he served as an usher for many years. He was an active, involved member of AA, with 49 years of sobriety.
Brad was a natural athlete who loved all sports, including baseball, ice hockey, and skiing (from Vermont to Europe). However, in recent years, his focus was on golf and tennis. As much as he loved competition and winning, the most important part for Brad was the interaction with his fellow competitors.
As an eminent Palm Beach broker-realtor, he established the Bradford P. Miller Real Estate company. Additionally, Brad wrote and published two books reflecting his love of dogs and especially his beloved Rocky.
Brad grew up in Laurel Hollow, New York, and Paris, France. His childhood adventures in Paris and on Cold Spring Harbor helped shape the person he became. He graduated from Vermont Academy and Bentley College. Brad was a member of the Bath and Tennis Club and the Everglades Club in Palm Beach, Florida.
Brad is predeceased by his parents Andrew O. and Jeanne W. Miller and his brothers Jeffrey C. and Dwight A. Miller. He is survived by his sisters Constance M. Bergh (husband Throop and son Christian), Deborah M. Lalor (sons R. Peter and Matthew B. Lalor) and sisters-in-law Susanne J. Miller (nephews Gordon (wife Cynthia), Andrew, and Eric (wife Tiffany), and niece Katie Miller); sister-in-law Keithley R. Miller (nephew C. Gibson Miller (wife Rebecca) and niece Tory M. Casey (husband Mike); and sister-in-law Leslie Jane McCain.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, 11AM, at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, 141 South County Road, Palm Beach, Florida, 33480. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brad's memory to Triangle Club (a 501(C3) supporting AA), 1369 Okeechobee Road, West Palm Beach, Fla. 33401.
