Carole Elizabeth Brooks passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, with her loving family at her side. Born on February 5, 1945, she lived a life defined by kindness, service, and a deep love for her family.
After graduating from Cardinal Newman High School in 1963, Carole married the love of her life, Jerrold “Jerry” Brooks. Together they shared 62 years of marriage. They built a warm and loving home and raised four children—three sons and a daughter—creating a family that remained the center of Carole’s life. When her children were young, Carole devoted herself fully to being a homemaker.
A longtime member of St. Juliana Catholic Church, Carole dedicated many years to serving her parish community. She worked in maintenance services at St. Juliana School for more than a decade and was an active member of the St. Juliana Women’s Club, where she also served as President, offering her time, leadership, and generous spirit.
Later, she opened her heart and home by running a daycare, lovingly caring for and spoiling many children who became part of her extended family. She eventually worked for many years at Walmart in the crafts and fabric department, where she enjoyed helping customers and working alongside coworkers until her retirement.
Carole is survived by her beloved husband, Jerrold “Jerry” Brooks; her children, Donald (Danielle) Brooks, Daniel (Suzane) Brooks, and David (Diana) Brooks; her grandchildren, Dawn (Spencer) Stricklin, Jessica (Sean) Pearson, David Brooks Jr. “DJ,” Maksim Brooks, and Brayden Brooks; and her great-grandchildren, Daxton and Mary Stricklin, Brooks Pearson, and another baby Pearson on the way.
She is also survived by her brothers, Michael (Patricia) Miller and Steven (Annie) Miller; two aunts, Josephine Bazinet and Flavia Wade; and her cherished best friend, Jean Vassallo. She additionally leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Miller; her brother, Raymond Miller; her sister, Annette Devlin; and her daughter, Deborah Brooks.
Carole will be remembered for her gentle heart, her devotion to family, her strong faith, and the many lives she touched through her kindness and care. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so deeply and in the countless people whose lives were brightened by her warmth.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at St. Juliana Catholic Church, 4500 South Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, with interment to follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
