Cynthia Doreen Fung of Sanford, Florida, passed away at the age of 69 on Saturday, February 12th, 2022 after a courageous battle with lung cancer with her loving children, Michelle and Christopher, by her side.
Cynthia was born on October 24, 1952, in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, Jamaica WI to Walter and Miriam Lyon. She graduated from St. Jago High School.
Cynthia married her longtime friend and love, Edward Fung in 1973. Cynthia and Edward went on to have two children, Michelle and Christopher.
Cynthia was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Miriam Lyon; brothers, Trevor Lyon and Walter Lyon, Jr. Cynthia is survived by her brothers, Carl And Errol Lyon; sisters, RoseMarie Lyon and Cecile Chong; daughter and husband, Michelle and Anthony Fyfe; son and wife, Christopher and Tami Fung; grandchildren, Taylor Fyfe, Hannah Fyfe, Katelyn Fung, Connor Fung, Alexis Fung, and Austin Fung; along with many nieces and nephews.
Cynthia loved her children and grandchildren. She was a "NaNa" like no other. Her grandchildren were her world. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends whether in person or on the phone. She was kind, generous and compassionate. She loved to cook, bake and garden. She was a loyal and honest friend to many. Cynthia will be missed by all those that she left behind. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
Family and friends are invited to join us to celebrate her life at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, Florida 33417 on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Association.
