Doris was family.  Doris and my mom Marjatta Karjalainen we’re partners in real estate at Dor Realty on Dixie Hwy for 40 plus years.
Doris was family and spent holidays with our family.  Doris loved to go to Home Depot with my dad and look around. She loved going on car rides which I enjoyed our rides together when I was in Florida.  Doris had amazing stories to share of  her past 99 years,  just shy of her 100th birthday.

Doris knew Richard thru my mom.  My mom met Richard thru her neighbor Loraine.  Richard drove my mom to appointments, cleaned her home, washed her laundry and other jobs to help my mom when Alan, my brother, her son was too busy with other commitments or if I, Nancy could not get away from work in Colorado and get my grandson uprooted from school to be in Florida to help mom and Doris. I was able to spend months at a time helping mom and giving Alan a break.
Richard was our hero helping Doris, mom, and Loraine with anything they needed. So grateful !

Miss you Doris sure glad we chatted a few weeks ago.

Doris was such a SWEET WOMAN!! I didn’t know her long! I met her when she needed a drive to Dr appt. She was blind and needed to see her eye Dr. We bonded right away! I was Driver Richard in her phone. I dealt w/ her during this COVID. They would say family only!! She’d look at them and say CANT YOU SEE HE’S MY HUSBAND!! What a GREAT TIME I HAD W/ HER! I will surely miss her calls and driving her. Always asking if she gave me enough. Felt BAD she lived by herself. I LOVED TAKING CARE OF HER LIKE MY MOM!
