Dorothy Hines Eakin

She was born June 27, 1924 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.

Dottie moved to Florida at age 16 to live with an aunt in West Palm Beach. Her mother & sister moved to West Palm Beach a short time later.

She lived in West Palm Beach most of her life until she moved to Islamorada in the Florida Keys.

She passed away peacefully May 17, 2016

Dottie was a kind and giving person that enjoyed cooking for her family. She was an avid gardener and was a member of the Lake Clark Shores Garden Club in the 1970’s. She co-owned and operated Palm Beach Haven Retirement Home with her mother for 26 years and she cared for the elderly residence as if they were family. She enjoyed attending church, decorating for Christmas and days boating in the Florida Keys.

She never forgot anybody's birthday, anniversary or other important event. She will be missed.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Gary Hines in Royal Palm Beach, Dennis Hines in Boynton Beach, Dean Eakin in Islamorada, Florida and 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, her sister Myra Quinn in West Palm Beach and nieces & nephews.

Her viewing will be held Friday May 20, 2016 from 7:00 PM-9:00 PM night, Funeral and Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 21, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral home,
