The room is missing a bigger than life character without our friend Ed.
The laughs, adventures and spirited conversation will not be forgotten.
Ed challenged you to be better and live a full life. He lead that charge by example.

I enjoy the memories and  times together at NECA, golfing ( out of the Philly area),  and the many conversations at the 19th hole.   A bright man who lived life to the fullest.

There are no words - Dale and I are heartbroken as every Ed friend is he was larger then life - always made you laugh and picked on me unmercifully with that glint in his eye. So many wonderful memories with Mare and Ed vacations, weddings - when we saw them in November Ed looked wonderful - Marianne, Douglas and Karen - we love you know you are in our thoughts and prayers. There will never be another Ed Gilmore- RIP Eddie - We'll meet you on the 19th hole

I first met Ed in 1971 when I arrived at H. B. Frazer Company.  We got to know each other pretty well as our desks faced each other in a crowded third floor office space.  I guess as with most occupational relationships we shared many stories both professionally and socially.   His stories were always much more interesting than mine and were told with more levity.  As time went on we became owners of Frazer and I always was interested in what Ed had to say as he had a street sense that was always on target not to mention his understanding of the business especially as it related to Philadelphia.  He really enjoyed the social side of life, diving, golf, the shore and Florida.  I am truly saddened and shocked by his passing.  My sympathy to Marianne, Karen, Doug , Shawn and the grandchildren.   

Extraordinary grateful to have been able to meet and laugh along with Ed! Wow, what phenomenal guy! Our family couldn't have been luckier to get to know Ed and Marianne through the FEC group. They were so, so gracious to the two little rugrats (my younger sister and I) at the meetings. Ed always had time for us and treated us just as he would anyone else. He certainly set the example for how to be a great human and the world is a little less bright without him in. Sending lots of love and light to Marianne at such a difficult time. xo. 

I was lucky enough to meet Ed when my sister and I would tag along to FEC meetings with our parents in the 00s…Ed had a line for everything and while I know he always had the kids laughing I have a feeling he had the adults laughing even harder… I can still hear him now “Jeat?!” He had a big personality and a big heart too. Sending my condolences to Marianne, during this difficult time. 

I am saddened to learn of Ed's passing, Marianne. So glad we met him and spent time with you at our class reunion in 2016. I am thinking of the girls; I understand the relationship of a Pop Pop with his granddaughters. Arms Around you all from Utah

I met Ed through the the Federated Electrical Contractors somewhere in the late 90’s  or so.  

We only saw each other 2 or 3 times a year, but we really hit it off.

 My daughters especially appreciated his outlook on life.  They gravitated towards him and still talk about him now in their 30’s. 

He could fill a room for sure.  I laughed a lot with him..  plus, he was smart as a whip..  we will miss him.

We are shocked and so very sorry to get this message.  We had good times with Ed - I remember once when we were staying with Ed and Marianne and he ran into the house from playing golf - grabbed us and drove quickly back to the golf course to show us 5 alligators laying sunning themselves.  Our hearts go out to you and your family Marianne- we love you.

Ed was a mentor, a co-worker, a boss, a partner, and most of all a friend.  A truly dynamic person, always fun to be around.  He was also serious, smart, and professional.  Ed worked hard and played hard.  He was a teacher of many of life lessons and shared his talents.    Thank you Ed.  We miss you.  
   

Uncle Ed - since our move back to FL in 2016, it’s been a joy to connect with you and Aunt Marianne like we never had the opportunity to before, and it’s been so great, to say the least. As many have already said, you were the life of the party. Our family will sorely miss our lunches at Wings n Things, your visits to church with us and our family gatherings. We love you and we’re praying for you, Aunt Marianne, and for Karen and Douglas, too!

We are heartbroken over this enormous loss. We’ll always remember you as the most generous and loving grandfather and father-in-law in the world with the biggest laugh. Your huge presence will always stay with us and we’ll always hear your voice singing and laughing.
