Felix Goldenson, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather died of natural causes on November 5, 2020, at the age of 102 in West Palm Beach, Fl. He was born on May 13, 1918 in New York City, the son of Jack and Belle Goldenson. He is survived by his wife, Betty Goldenson, his son, Joe Goldenson and his wife Ronnie Jacobs, stepson Ed Lavergne and his wife Marianne Lavergne, stepdaughter Michelle Pfeifer and her husband John Pfeifer, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Goldenson and his brother, Leonard Goldenson.
Felix attended De Witt Clinton High School in New York City and City College of New York, where he obtained his degree as a Certified Public Accountant. He served as a Lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps of the US Army during WWII. He lived most of his life in the Greater New York area and worked as a CPA in Manhattan, first as a partner at Klein, Hinds and Fink, then as a partner at Alexander Grant, and ended his career at the Law Offices of Louis Nizer. He moved to Florida in 1991.
Felix was a kind, loving man who was widely respected for his goodness, honesty and integrity. He had a wonderful sense of humor and often regaled family and friends with stories from his childhood and early adulthood in New York. He was remarkably wise and intelligent and had an amazing memory his entire life. He was a role model to his son, Joe, who often sought his advice on a wide range of issues. He loved sports, especially the NY Yankees, and attended many games at Yankee Stadium with his dad, and later with Joe. He took great pleasure in eating, especially Italian food. He will be greatly missed by his surviving family and friends.
