He is survived by his wife, Mala Charran-George, his brothers J.K. George of San Francisco, CA, and Arun Verghese of Kerala State, India. He is preceded in death by his parents, Torah K. George, and Sarah George of India.
George was born in India, and as a child attended Infant Jesus High School in India. As a young teen, he traveled and lived in various countries, including Japan, and Italy. George completed his Doctoral education at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India and at Syracuse University, NY. His career spanned various disciplines, including journalism, teaching, and social work.
A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7th, 2017, from 5PM to 7PM, at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 5411 Okeechobee Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL, and his Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017, at 10:30AM, at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 390 S Sequoia Drive, West Palm Beach, FL 33409.
