

Beloved husband to Lillian, father to Grace Zazzaro (husband,Richard), Denise Cicione (husband, Neil), and Teresa Noto (husband, Nino), and grandfather to Athena, Joseph, Isabella, Giuseppe and Giovanni. He is also survived by his sisters, Dolores Cannata (husband, John), Alice Colucci, and Lorraine Ameri (husband, Robert).
He served in the Army, and went on to work at Fort Hamilton in New York until retirement to Florida in the 1990's. He was always willing to help others, share his expertise in carpentry, and give of himself "above and beyond" what was expected of anyone. He made friends with others everywhere he went - coffee shops, church, bocce courts, classic car shows, etc.
George's contagious positive outlook on life and heartwarming smile will be missed from New York to Florida... and everywhere in between.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 5411 Okeechobee Boulevard, West Palm Beach, Florida 33417.
Further services and interment will take place in Nesconset. New York.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, October 31, 2014 at the St. James Funeral Home, 829 Middle Country Road, Nesconset, New York. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 95 Nichols Road, Nesconset, New York. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, 183 Mount Pleasant Road, Smithtown, New York
