It is with heavy hearts that we report the passing of Gisele Marie Boutot Lowe. She died with dignity and quite peacefully on June 20, 2018 in the confines of her West Palm Beach, Florida condo. She was surrounded by those who loved her while peaceful hymns were being sung as she left this world. She was 88.
Gisele was born on April 28, 1930 in the province of New Brunswick, Canada to Ida Peltier and Alcide Boutot. During her many travels as a young woman, she met and married Gordon J. W. Lowe on August 3, 1956 in Miami, FL. From Miami, they moved to Cat Cay, Bahamas, where Gisele began her career as a housewife, mother and entrepreneur. Over the course of the next 11 years, the happy couple welcomed three beautiful daughters into this world. Gisele began teaching them how to be strong, resilient women from the very start. Her daughters remember her as a loving, energetic, driven, caring, though strict, mother who encouraged them to build the best lives they could while reaching their goals with persistence, grace and elegance. Tragedy struck the family in 1980 when the eldest daughter, Ginet, died in a plane crash off West End in the Bahamas. The couple had been married for 35 years when Gordon passed away in 1996.
Gisele was an accomplished business woman, building and operating 2 separate businesses. She performed the construction of her own home in Freeport, Bahamas while pregnant with Gayline (Tan Tan). Through it all she managed to earn her private pilot’s license. As an accomplished oil painter, she created several pieces that will be enjoyed for years to come. She was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4219 where she frequently participated in charity functions.
Gisele is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Gayline (Tan Tan) and Dean Rhinehart; her daughter Gabrielle (Gaby) Lowe; grandson Ricky Slater, all of West Palm Beach, FL; grandson and his wife Mark and Ari Little with their daughter Savannah of San Juan Capistrano, CA and granddaughter and her husband Tracy and David Burgess with their children Hunter and Emily of St Cloud, FL. Gisele is also survived by numerous extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews from her Canadian roots. She was the sole survivor of five siblings.
A memorial service and reception will be scheduled for July 15, 2018, beginning 1 pm at FOE Aerie 4219 located at 2800 N. Military Trail Suite 105 West Palm Beach, FL 33409. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of this special, amazing woman. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to FOE 4219 Women’s Auxiliary at the same address. Please contact Gayline or Dean Rhinehart for details. Donations will also be accepted, in person, at the Aerie.

The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks and appreciation to the FOE 4219 Women’s Auxiliary, the caregivers of the Trustbridge Hospice Foundation and Quattlebaum Funeral Home for all their kindness, assistance and dedication during this most difficult time.
