Passed peacefully into life eternal on July 23, 2014. Jackie was born and raised in Columbus, OH where she also worked as a young woman until moving to South Florida. There she met and married Don Richards in 1965. Jackie’s greatest joy was with her family and she always put them first. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed assisting elementary school children in the Palm Beach County public school system.
After Don’s untimely death in 2007, Jackie relocated to Sun City Center, FL to start another chapter of her life. She made some friends, read lots of books, and carried on Don’s legacy of keeping the birds and squirrels well fed.
Jackie is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; two much adored granddaughters; her favorite aunt, Bonnie; cousin Ralph; a loving extended family; and Andy, her very grateful rescue cat.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 PM on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL, CREMATION and EVENT CENTER, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33417.
