Jane Ellen Kilday

Jane Ellen Cox Kilday, of Palm Beach, died Nov. 19 at Gerstenberg Hospice Center in West Palm Beach. She was 96. She was born June 29, 1922 in Lowell Massachusetts, the daughter of James M. Cox and Lillian Locke Cox. She graduated from Regis College in Weston MA in 1943. In 1948, she married Thomas J. Kilday, who died in 1974. A year after his death, she moved to the Palm Beach area.

Survivors include her children, Gregg Kilday of Los Angeles, Kieran Kilday (wife Melinda) of Virginia, Janet K. Morrill (husband Paul) of Delaware, Tara K. Lindhart (husband Ron) of Florida, and Brendan Kilday of West Palm Beach, as well as her sister Joan Cox O’Brien of Orange, MA, her brother James Cox of Barnstable MA, five grandchildren, Katie and Carolyn Kilday, Tom and Eric Lindhart, and Peter Morrill, and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church, 144 N. County Road, Palm Beach. She will be buried in Springfield VA beside her husband Tom.
