Her devotion to her loving husband, Barney, for more than 30 years was an inspiration for all Together they traveled the world collecting new and visiting old friends. They lived in Manhattan and Greenwich but eventually they bought some land at Breakers West, in Palm Beach Florida and built a house designed to accommodate Janice's three children and five grandchildren for extended family visits. These visits were a celebration, a party, filled with laughter, great feasts and constant tales of interesting and often humorous events, which allowed us all to really catch up. While the house is truly beautiful, filled with art, objects of their travels and exotic orchid plants, all reflecting her lifelong passions, her real passion was to have a place where her family could regularly gather and celebrate.
Celebrating her life are her three children and their spouses, Cheryl and Scott Glaser, Craig and Kathy Fisher and Brian and Joanna Fisher. Missing her are her five grandchildren, Jason McCullough, Alex and Elizabeth Fisher, Ian and Phoebe Fisher and William McCullough her great grandson.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Quattlebaum Funeral Cremation and Event Center, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, Fl 33417 on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Memorial Service to follow at 12:00pm.
