Born in St. Louis, Mo, Karen lived with her family in Chicago, Long Island and Lakeland, FL.
Karen’s artistic ability surfaced early in her life. By the time she was eight her paintings were impressive. She majored in Advertising Art & Design at State University of New York at Farmingdale, graduating in 1979.
Karen moved to West Palm Beach in the early 1980’s, where she continued her profession as a consummate water colorists and graphic artist.
Karen loved life and lived it to its fullest. Her charm, wit and sense of humor will be sorely missed by all who had had the privilege and pleasure of knowing her.
Karen is predeceased by her mother Joan, her father Gene and her sister Gail.
She is survived by her loving daughter Emily, a devoted husband Jeffrey, sisters, Suellen Blackford and Kristin Lamont.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Community United Church of Christ, 501 Park Avenue, Lake Park, FL
