

Lance was born at 11:59 pm in Peterborough, New Hampshire June 5, 1944. He was the only child who moved often throughout the country and world being a military “brat”. His parents instilled in him a love for hard work and a passion for golf. While taking classes at St. Petersburg Community College, Lance met Brenda Summerville who would be the love of his life. Marrying in 1965, they would spent the next 60 years building a beautiful home. After serving in the US Navy from 1965-1971, Lance turned his passion for golf into a career working in the industry for over 50 years in several different capacities. He loved playing games with his friends, his children, and his grand children. Lance served in the Lord’s church at Palm Beach Lakes Church of Christ. He genuinely loved his Christian brothers and sisters. As he grew in his faith, Lance became an example to his friends and family alike.
Lance is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Collier. His children, Lance Collier II, Kristen Reames (Jon Reames), Justin Collier (Sharah Collier), and Sarah Collier. He loved his six granddaughters (Kendall, Mackenzie, Janie, Reagan, Keeley, and Brylee) and one grandson (Jon Tyler). He further leaves behind wonderful friends and a loving Christian family.
He was known by many for his warm smile and friendly personality. Lance was also known as Pop-Pop to his grandchildren, and is remembered for his playful spirit, amazing hugs, and wet kisses on the cheek.
A memorial service will be held at the Palm Beach Lakes Church of Christ, 4067 Leo Lane, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410, Saturday August 30, 2025 with visitation from 10am - 11am and the service at 11am. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to one of Lance’s favorite charities, The Mount Dora Children’s Home
