
Marie Britto Sager, 83, of Lantana, Florida and formerly of DeWitt, NY passed away on March 4, 2014. She was born in Palmerton, PA to the late Joaquin and Ibriana Britto, both proud Portuguese immigrants. Mrs. Sager received her Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics from Drexel University and did post-graduate work at Cornell and Syracuse Universities. She spent many happy years teaching Home Economics to students in Galeton, PA and at Lyncourt School in Syracuse, New York. While a resident of DeWitt, she was an active member of St. David’s Episcopal Church. A brave survivor of two battles with breast cancer, Mrs. Sager loved reading, gardening and creating a healthy home for her family. Left to cherish her memory are her husband and best friend of 57 years, Russell Sager of Lantana, FL, son; Eric Sager of Hypoluxo, FL, sisters; Anne Drabic of Mankato, MN and Alice DiMegleo of Richlandtown, PA, brother; John Britto of Bethlehem, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Marie’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on March 19, 2014 at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda by the Sea in Palm Beach, FL.
