Pearl Simons

December 7, 1924June 7, 2021

Pearl was the greatest woman from the Greatest Generation. She saw and experienced so many wonderful things in her 96 years on Earth – and was endowed with the gifts of wisdom and longevity. Pearl Simons, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, died peacefully surrounded by much love on Monday, June 7th. Her vivacious personality and endless fantastic advice will be remembered forever. Born the eldest of two girls, on December 7, 1924, to Isadore and Frieda Nadel, Pearl was beautiful, bright, stylish and generous. She married the love of her life, Max, in 1943, and they spent their first years together traveling the country while Max was in the U.S. Army. She made sure that he was well cared for at his various stateside postings during the war. They were happily married for 66 years until Max’s passing in 2009. Pearl’s family meant everything to her, and she could constantly be heard boasting about how proud she was of each and every one of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Fineman and Perry (Melanie Rich) Simons, grandchildren Elyse Fineman (Adam Zoll), Daniel Fineman, Amy (Michael) Eisenstein, Joshua (Sivan) Simons, and Alexandra Simons; and great-grandchildren Rachel, Ilana, Peretz, Jayden, Emunah, Meir and Ayala. Pearl is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lorraine Minches; her late husband, Max; and her son-in-law, Robert Fineman. Funeral services and interment will be private.
