Rich is survived by his wife Maria; his children, Alexander, Natalie, and David; his brother Harold and sister-in-law Linda; his brothers Carmine and Dominick, sisters-in-law Janet and Silvia; his cousins, Terri, Cindy, Tom, and Ernetta; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Rich was born on January 8, 1958 in Hartford, Connecticut to Matilda Kramer. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1985, and courageously decided to pursue additional education in funeral sciences at the age of 50, after a 20-year career as a senior Vice President at Oppenheimer.
Prior to his passing, Rich was location manager for Aycock-Stuart Funeral Home in Stuart, Florida.
A lover of boating, cigars, food, and drink, Rich was a festive man who had the rare quality of being able to enjoy life to the fullest, regardless of whatever challenges came his way.
All who encountered Rich, be it personally, professionally, or otherwise, knew him as an outwardly kind, friendly, and compassionate man. It was these virtues that made him an excellent funeral director, and the best father and husband a person could ask for.
A celebration of life and service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21 from 6-8:30pm. Father Aiden Lacey will officiate the prayer service.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, stjude.org/memorialgifts or 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
