Only tonight did we hear this terrible news of Rob's passing. We are still in shock. Our prayers go out for his peaceful passing to the next world. He was a genuine, good, nice, classy person, and a Mensch. Our condolences go out to his family, his children, his staff, and most especially to Jason Jones. The video was a fine tribute. We are honored to have met him and will have fond memories of spending time with him at his restaurant. May he Rest In Peace, with our Love....

Dear Barbara, Tracy and all those close to Robert Diemer:  We have lost a very dear person, and my heartfelt sympathies go to all of you.  Rob was my best childhood friend and he was a great guy. He made life really fun with his wicked sense of humor and I have wonderful memories hanging out with Rob and his family. Even though we had lost touch, Rob reached out to me when we turned 40 and I'm really thankful that he did.  I know he was a good father to his kids, and a good son and brother. He was also a good friend, and I'm grateful to have known him.  Rest in peace Rob.

What a great picture- that is the Robert I remember.  I would see you in the sales office of Hampton Cay and so appreciate you remembering me on your trip to NYC seeing Wicked.  My mother died 4 weeks ago from cancer so I can empathize with the grief.  They say it takes time, but it is very raw and emotional.

I am blessed to have had you in my life and miss you terribly. Though I can find peace in knowing you nolonger have to suffer. As others have mentioned some of the things we all love about you is your smile, eyes, humor...the list goes on. Jason,     Jason, Lilly...forever in my prayers. XOXOXO

Rob- we had so many good times when you and Laurie were married.  I remember the birth of your children and have a picture of you holding Madelyn when she was a baby.  You will be missed, but I know Heaven has another wonderful angel! Rest in peace.

I want to express my heartfelt condolences to Rob's family and loved ones. Rob was truly one of a kind!  He was one of the most playful, vibrant and kindest friends I have ever known!  I am so grateful we became fast friends at the Westfield Foodtown back in high school, where we worked side by side and we kept one another in stitches due to all of our shenanigans!  Rob knew how to have fun and he always made me laugh!  There were many days he lifted my spirits and reminded me not to take life so seriously. To get to reconnect with him after we both relocated to SFL was truly amazing and so many years later, I found myself cutting up with that same spirited, playful guy I always loved. He was courageous and fought so hard! He often gushed about his kids and how much he loved them and how he loved being a dad. The calmness that came over him after meeting Jason was really wonderful to witness. He will be sorely missed! Heaven gained an Angel on 1/11 and if I know Rob, he'll offer to give St. Peter a break so he can take over at the Pearly Gates just to mess with us when it's our time....I can see him now...(Smiling his giant smile) taking over Peter's post: "And you are? I am so sorry but there's no Irene on my list. OK let me just double check here. OK, yes, it is M-U-R-P-H-Y...right? That's right, OK. Just as I thought,I was right the first time. You are NOT on the list. Please step to the right and take the elevator down. Better leave that sweater, girl! I hear it's hot down there!" To mischief, shenanigans, and laughter for all eternity! I know Rob will keep smiling on all of us! Godspeed!This isn't goodbye! To be continued...

Laurie, our thoughts and prayers are with you. There just aren't enough words. We have great memories with the two of you here in NJ as well as in Fl. Rob was a great father, and you have awesome kids that will cherish the memories. Taken way too soon, my friend. I'm always here for you and hope we can catch up soon. X0X0

Thank you for sharing the wonderful pictures and memories of Rob.  The captions and expressions helped bring forth that colorful personality we all were so lucky to have had in our lives. So many wonderful memories of such a brave man and very funny guy. One of my favorite memories was when we were young in Hilton Head and we would play jokes on the building management.  We pushed the button on the fire alarm in the unit  and ROb called the office in a crazy lady voice to complain about the damn fire alarm going off every time she tried to make a piece of toast.  It was too funny and makes me laugh to this day.  Classic Rob.  Much love and prayers to Aunt Barbara, Tracy and family, Jason Jones, Jason, Lilly and Laurie and all those close to Rob.
