Rosario "Russell" Maggio

Rosario "Russ" Maggio, 78, of Fort Lee, NJ and West Palm Beach, FL, passed away Friday, September 29th. Russ was a veteran of the Marine Corps and a retired Sergeant of the Fort Lee Police Dept. Russ enjoyed the last 15 years in Florida in "paradise" where "every day is Sunday." Russ and Joan were married for 56 years, of which he was most proud. Russ was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Godfather and Friend. Russ is predeceased by Daughter Donna M. Dreyer, Siblings Joseph, Carmelo, Louise, Rose, Connie, Minnie and Frances. He is survived by his wife Joan Maggio of West Palm Beach, FL, Grandson Nicholas W. Dreyer of Fort Lee, Sister Virginia DiMeglio of Fort Lee, his two puppies Louie and Lily, and so many family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL, CREMATION & EVENT CENTER, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL, 33417, with a reception to follow. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, 100 Crestwood Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL . In lieu of flowers, donations in Russ' memory may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
