Born in 1944 and raised in West Seneca, she spent her life loving her friends and family, spreading smiles, and selflessly serving the people around her. She was a devoted wife to Elvin, for 60 years, and wonderful mother to her daughter Shannon (and son-in-law Greg). She was an incredible grandmother to her grandchildren, Katie and Nate (and granddaughter-in-law Shannon), who she cared for more than anything in the world. She was also survived by her brother Paul (Diane) Gibbs, niece Becky (Mike) Sonner, and nephew Scott Gibbs.
Elaine led a life that impacted on the lives of everyone who knew her. She spent 40 years working with Elvin to build and run their business and throughout those years built lasting relationships with so many of their customers. Her ability to connect with and care for people will be a lasting legacy she leaves behind.
To those who knew her, there was no other person more caring about the lives and wellbeing of those she loved. She will be remembered for willingness to help at the drop of a hat, and her ability to make anyone smile no matter what was going on in life. She set an example for how to love others well and will hold a special place in so many peoples’ memories.
