Born in 1941 and raised in West Seneca, Elvin spent his life rooted in the values of faith, family, and hard work. He was a devoted husband to Elaine, for 60 years, “the best thing that ever happened to him”, and a loving father to his pride and joy, his daughter Shannon (and son-in-law Greg). He took great joy in his role of grandpa to his grandchildren, Katie and Nate (and granddaughter-in-law Shannon), and his bonus grandson Evan, who brought him immense happiness.
A self-made and tireless worker, Elvin dedicated nearly 40 years of his life to building and running EBM Heating and Cooling, a business he founded and operated out of an addition he built onto his childhood home in West Seneca. Years of dedication earned him a reputation for honesty, craftsmanship, and unwavering commitment to his customers and his work. Elvin was as hard a worker as they come, and his legacy lives on not just in the family he cherished, but in the work ethic and integrity he modeled every day.
He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his deep love for his family, and the legacy of kindness, dedication, and resilience he leaves behind. His sense of humor, willingness to help others, and unwavering love touched the lives of many, and his memory will continue to live on in those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at Revive Wesleyan Church 4999 McKinley Pkwy Hamburg, NY 14075 on Sunday June 22nd at 2pm. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Buffalo 225 Como Park Blvd Cheektowaga, NY 14227or Multiple Sclerosis PO Box 730 Buffalo, NY 14226.
