Close to the front of the rolling rack near my desk, where I keep my reference materials, is a green folder which simply says “Greenan” on the tab. Inside is a treasure trove of your letters – some to me, some to our colleagues, answering various title questions. They are full of your thorough research, insightful analysis, and, of course, your signature dry wit on legal matters great and small. Each paragraph, each sentence, so well written and perfectly stylized that I can still hear your voice each time I refer to one.

Wherever you are, Gerry, know that I am grateful.

Dear Greenan Family,
Please accept my condolences. In the 1980's, Jerry gave me some profound advise that has helped with my career to this day. He gave me the advise generously and without expecting anything in return.
I refer to the "Erie County Real Estate Standards " almost every week. Again, something that Jerry gave to all of us who practice real estate law magnanimously and something that continues to guide us. Thank You, Jerry.

Our prayers to an amazing and kind man and his family. Mr. Greenan was always there as my mom and dad’s lifetime attorney. It was always great to see him at Queen of Heaven each week; he alway had a contagious and sincere smile when we talked. The Sweet family will dearly miss Gerry. Best wishes, Eric Sweet

I was so blessed to have been apart of the Greenan family, since my early childhood. The honor of receiving my First Holy Communion, from Mr. Greenan, will forever remain in my heart. While he will be missed, I am certain his life with God and Jesus is celebrated today. Sending prayers for peace and comfort to the entire Greenan family and friends.
