Joanne went to Mount Mercy and graduated at 52 with an Associates degree.
She retired from the Buffalo Board of Education.
Those who knew her, knew her life was summed up with one-word JOY- deep joy - coming from a real knowing of the of the source of all life - JESUS. She served the Lord in her church, marriage encounter, Cursillo, Kairos, and pro-life.
One of Joanne’s many great loves started with her husband Albert, they were married 47 years, their children: Al (Hope), Marie (Harold Fish), Donna Cordier, Lori (Bob Ramsey), Son in Love Tim Cordier, 13 grandkids and 14 great grandkids.
Her favorite place to be was with “her own”, her family and friends, having dinner together and circled around a campfire and camping.
She loved her dog Angel, and everyone else’s dogs. You couldn’t go anywhere with her without stopping to pet every other dog around and stop to say hello to the cows.
Her legacy will be her faith. She passed her relationship with Jesus onto her family and all who knew her.
Joanne was known to talk to God in her sleep and have God on speed dial. She would ask you to pray about it or say, “Lets pray.”
The courage she showed during her final fight will remain an inspiration to everyone who knew and loved her.
Until its safe to celebrate her life together, lets thank God for Joanne’s life.
