Karen A. Kloc

She is survived by her parents, Adrienne and Ray Barczak; her beloved husband, Joseph Kloc; her sister, Debbie Blaszczykiewicz (Thomas Blaszczykiewicz); and her children, Conrad Kloc (Kristen Kloc), Jillian Stephens (Milo Stephens), and Dr. Austin Kloc. She also leaves behind five gorgeous grandchildren, Warren Kloc, Kestrel Stephens, Leif Stephens, Harvey Kloc, and Florence Kloc, whom she adored above all else.

Karen lived each day wholeheartedly, with an energy, determination, and intention that inspired everyone around her. She brought her full self to all that she did, including her courageous fight for life until the very end. Guided by faith, she prayed unwaveringly for a miracle and for the opportunity to continue her beautiful life.

Above all else, Karen was a mother. She considered motherhood her life’s greatest calling and often said it was her proudest work. She poured her heart into caring for her family and creating a loving home each and every day.

Karen’s life was also defined by her many talents, passions, and accomplishments. She earned a degree in fashion merchandising and began her career in the fashion industry, working as a model, coach, and makeup artist at a modeling agency. She later served as the manager of several women’s clothing stores. At the same time, she worked evenings as a lead waitress at her husband’s business, Kloc’s Grove, in West Seneca. Her role within the family business grew over the years, and she ultimately became the administrative manager.

Committed to a healthy and active life, Karen was also a fitness instructor for more than 30 years, teaching classes at the Buffalo Athletic Club and LA Fitness. She found great joy in skiing, biking, and tennis, and embraced every opportunity to experience these passions in new places. Her adventures included skiing in the French Alps and biking through Southern France and Holland.

Through every chapter of her life, Karen built meaningful connections and lasting friendships within her community. To say she was well loved would be an understatement. Her friends cherished her deeply and treasured the time they spent together. Even during her illness, her hospital room was often filled with visitors sharing stories, laughter, and cherished memories. Many who knew Karen lovingly described her as a ray of sunshine.

Karen was a devout Catholic. Her funeral will be held at St. Gabriel’s Church in Elma. She will be laid to rest at St. Adalbert’s Cemetery in Lancaster.
