Michael J. Fidanza

Mike was predeceased by his siblings Joseph (Amie Lee), Carmela (Anthony) Pisacane, and Mary (Anthony) Ficaro. Though he never married, he leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Mike served in the Army during the Korean War, continuing his commitment in the Army Reserves. This sense of duty extended into his professional life, where he played an integral role in the family business in Manhattan alongside his brothers-in-law. Later, without family, he established several successful restaurants in the city.

In the past decade, Mike found friends and community at both his residence of Sylvia's Place and his parish, St. Vincent DePaul in Elma, NY. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his particularly generous philanthropic endeavors, particularly towards charities aiding religious organizations, St. Jude's Hospital, Boys' Town, Alzheimer's and numerous others.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Michael's passion for baseball began with childhood attendance at double header games at New York Yankee stadium. Since his move from the Bronx to Elma 10 years ago, he became an avid Buffalo Bills supporter.

Mike's life will be celebrated with a funeral service on August 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent De Paul Church on Seneca Street and Rice Rd. in Elma. Immediately following the Mass, Mike will be transported to Ferncliff Cemetery in Westchester NY where he will join his family. A celebration of his life will be held in Elma in the near future.

Mike's warmth, humor, and unwavering faith left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love that continues to echo through the lives he touched.
