Tena Pitzer

April 11, 1923 – April 8, 2023

Tena Pitzer passed peacefully on April 8, 2023, three days before her 100th Birthday. She was preceded in death by her Richard John Pitzer (husband). A private service was held April 11, 2023 at Hamburg Presbyterian church by Pastor Rachel Brown.

Tena is survived by her daughter, Mary Anne (Pitzer) Leslie of Buffalo, NY and son, Gregory John Pitzer (Laurie) of Houston, TX.

Grandchildren are Christopher (Shelley) of Longwood FL, Kevin (Monica) of Salt Lake City UT, Leah (John) of Buffalo NY, Kristin (Eddie) of Greensboro NC, and Sigbrit (Michael) of Spring Branch TX, and Aidan of Houston TX.

Tena leaves sixteen great grandchildren: Noah, Jordan, Kamryn, Mitchell, Quinn, Jonus, Claire, Lily, Avonmora, Kristopher, Caroline, Cadee, Michael, James, Jonathan, and Charles.

Myrtle Ernestine was born in Arkansas, Kansas, served in the Department of Defense Intelligence in Occupied Japan 1947-1948. The Pitzers lived in Pittsburgh, PA, Seoul, Republic of South Korea, Hong Kong, Lago Vista, TX, and Sun City Center, FL.

Tena will be interred In Arlington National Cemetery in 2024 with her husband, Richard John Pitzer, Captain (RET) USA.
