Alan Karl Skougard (Papa), passed away on August 24, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Alan was born February 19, 1951 in St. George, Utah to Eunice Barton and Karl Skougard, and he was raised by Boyd Orton. He married BethAnn Sharples on February 26, 1972. He loved to work and be around his kids and grandkids. He loved to ride his Harley and go to Rocky Mountain Raceway. Alan is survived by his loving wife, BethAnn; sons, Tim and Brent and daughter, Tina Zacherson; brothers, Roger, Doug, Duane and sister, Jeanie Shakespeare, and 6 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services for Alan will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a visitation Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates
