Alice Heaps Day

She was born on December 10, 1934, a daughter of Ada and Alfred Heaps in Escalante, UT. She attended Jordan High School. Alice married Albert Jack Schmidt they had four children, Jackie, Matthew, David and Bryon, they later divorced. She then married Grant Day, they were later sealed in the St. George LDS Temple; he passed away in 1985.

Alice was involved with the Eagles Auxiliary, she dedicated many hours of her life to them, even at one time serving as president for their association. She worked and retired from CR England Trucking. She made lap quilts for everyone at Judy's Rest Home. She was talented in ceramics and crafts, and often shared her talents with others. Alice was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Survived by her children: Jackie Schmidt-Gheen, Matthew Schmidt (Dianna Grimaud); David Schmidt; and Bryon Schmidt and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings: Vernon (Judy) Heaps; Arlan (Flora) Heaps; and Arlene Elliott.

Preceded in death by her husband Grant, her parents, her son-in-law Allen Gheen; her sister Colleen Lewis, and her brother Milton James Heaps.

A Graveside Service will be held May 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South West Valley City, UT.
