Alta Lemmon Wimmer

Alta was born on August 21, 1937 in Springdale, Utah to Veda and Nathaniel Lemmon. She married DaVon Wimmer on October 8, 1955, sealed on May 17, 1973.

As a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Alta served in many callings. Most recently she had served seven years as a church service missionary. Alta retired from Granite School District after many years and worked for 21 years at True Value Hardware.

Alta is survived by her children: Kirk (Valorie) Wimmer, Teresa (Robert) Moore and Nathan (LeNina) Wimmer and grandchildren: Stacey Josephson (Juston), Christy (Cliff) Young, Travis (Lyndsie) Wimmer, Rachael (Bryce) Garff, Kammie (Thomas) Kreitlow, Rob (McKenzie) Moore, Kira Moore, Meghan (Nathan) Stolp, Maia, Colton, Brock and Kaisa Wimmer, 20 great-grandchildren, her sister Janice (Joe) Peacock, brother in-law Dean Kealamakia and loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband DaVon, daughter Lori, brother Larry, sister Norma and parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 6th at 2:00 p.m. at the Hunter 23rd Ward (3665 S. 6000 W. WVC). Viewing will be held Tuesday 6-8pm at Valley View Funeral Home (4335 W. 4100 S., WVC) and one hour prior to service at the church. Internment, Valley View Cemetery.
