Amber Lee Carlson

1982-2011

Our dearest Amber Lee Carlson, 28, returned home to our Heavenly Father on August 26, 2011. She was born on October 18, 1982 in Palo Alto, California to James Wichtendahl and Jenny Kovalenko, and adopted by Jerry and Elizabeth Carlson. She attended Central High School. Amber was a loving mother to her two little angels, Isaiah and Rome who she referred to as “her world.” Her beautiful smile will be missed by all. The light in her soul would brighten up every person she came across. She gave her heart and never asked for anything in return. Amber was a rare and exotic flower, a butterfly that bloomed into our guardian angel. We know that you are in a better place and are looking down on all of us. Rest in peace our beautiful daughter, sister, mother, and friend. You will never be forgotten.

Amber is survived by her little angels, Isaiah Julian Deardurff, Rome Elijah Haynes; birth mother, Jenny Kovalenko; adoptive parents, Jerry and Elizabeth Carlson; siblings, Clay Carlson, Jaci Carlson, Marianne Carlson, Dahn Gutierrez, Vinnie Kovalenko, Katie Kovalenko, Tyler Garcia. She is preceded in death by her birth father, James Wichtendahl and grandfather, LaMar H. Carlson and Marianne Colon.

Funeral services for Amber will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 11:00 am at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park. Following the service there will be a luncheon for close family and friends at 4957 Lariat Drive, West Valley City, UT from 2 until 4 p.m. A Memorial Fund has been set up in Amber's name at any Mountain America Credit Credit Union.
