Arlis Jay Jensen

Arlis was born April 22, 1951 in Gunnison, Utah, to James and Edra Jensen.

He graduated from Gunnison High School in 1969 and later went on to graduate from the technical college in Richfield. He was hired by the Rio Grande Railroad in 1972 and worked there until he retired in 2011.

Arlis loved camping and hunting with his family. He was an avid Utes fan who looked forward to the tailgate parties on game day. He spent many Sundays on the golf course and he never missed a soccer or basketball game for his grand kids.

He is survived by his wife; Judy, his sisters; Leslie and Mary (Butch), his sons; Jeff (Brenda), Jordon, and Jay, and his grandchildren; Evan and Brooklynn.

He is preceded in death by his parents; James and Edra, his brothers; Clark and Jess Lynn, and his brother-in-law; Stephen Beck.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3rd at the Peachwood Stake House, 3963 Peachwood Drive, West Valley City, UT 84119. The viewing will begin at 10:00 am followed by the funeral at 11:45 am. The burial will take place Friday, March 4th at 1:00 pm at the Richfield City Cemetery, 780 North Main Street, Richfield, UT 84701
