Barbara Jean Bake

Barbara resided in Chubbuck, Idaho the final years of her life after many years of living in Kearns, Utah where she raised her family.

Born Barbara Jean Spratt, on July 8, 1946 to Russell and Helen Spratt in Sweet Home, Oregon, and was raised in Cascadia, Oregon. She then married. She spent most of her adult life raising family in Utah and working for and retiring from Abbott Laboratories after 23 years.

Barbara loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with family.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of many years, Everett "Lynn" Bake; her parents, Russell and Helen Spratt; sister, Joann Albert (Tom); son, Charles Thompson; daughter-in-law, Linda Thompson (George); great grandson, Ezekiel Koplin.

Barbara is survived by her brother, Mike Spratt; daughter, Brenda Wescott (Kevin) of Winchester Bay, Oregon; son, George Thompson of Pocatello, Idaho; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, who adored her beyond the moon and back.

Barbara will be dearly missed by all.

Graveside services will be held on May 22, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.
